NEPCA Presents Appreciation Award to Volunteer and Partners on 7-15-2023

In NEPCA of Culture Trust four years anniversary celebration on 7/15/2023, NEPCA presented appreciation awards to our volunteers and partners to show gratitude to people who give their time to serve our community and to promote volunteerism.

  Northeast Regional Library (NER)

Description: In appreciation of offering meeting places and programs to benefit underserved communities. NEPCA has run many outreach programs there to assist the underserved Chinese community.

PATH, Inc.

Description: In appreciation of offering meeting places to support community service programs. NEPCA has run major outreach programs there to benefit underserved communities. PATH provided the classroom space for NEPCA’s ten-session SAT preparation class this summer.

American Scholars | 美思高教育中心

Description: In appreciation of the great efforts in advocating community services in youth education. CEO Jessica Li emphasizes community services in education and sends her students to volunteer in different local agencies. 60% of NEPCA youth volunteers are from AS. Students are instrumental in delivering NEPCA’s program services that bridge the language gaps and have gained real work skills and enhanced their education.

Description: In recognition of providing language support to the Chinese Community.  CCHC provides at least 6 volunteer hours weekly to help the Chinese residents via the English Help Station at 6401 Castor Ave. CCHC, led by Janet Chen, is a role model of business step-up and supports the underserved community. Our community appreciates CCHC contributions.

Coco Dance Sisters Troop COCO | 舞蹈姐妹团 

Description: In recognition of each team member's contribution to the community through civic engagement. Besides dancing exercises to keep themselves healthy, both teams have shown up to support many community events and volunteer to support good causes. They make a difference in gaining social attention and winning resources for the Chinese community.

Mrs Yuexian Wu is the founder and instructor of the Coco Dance Sister Team. She volunteers her time to lead her friends in the neighborhood to do dance exercises every morning to keep themselves healthy and takes her team to participate in various community events and volunteering. She accumulated more than four hundred volunteer hours in the past 12 months and has won the Silver President’s Volunteer Service Award. 

 

 

Greater Phila. Prosperity Dance Alliance | 富贵 舞队 

Description: In recognition of each team member's contribution to the community through civic engagement. Besides dancing exercises to keep themselves healthy, both teams have shown up to support many community events and volunteer to support good causes. Li Rong Lu is the founder and instructor of the Greater Phila. Prosperity Dance Alliance. She volunteers her time to lead her friends in the neighborhood to do dance exercises every morning to keep themselves healthy and also takes her team to participate in various community events and volunteering. She accumulated 400 volunteer hours in the past 12 months and has won the Silver President’s Volunteer Service Award.

Philly China Breeze Band | 费城中国轻风乐队

Description: In recognition of the contributions to the community through volunteer activities. The band is 100% volunteer-based and offers free performances at many community events.

(Award is accepted by  Mr. Yingguo Liu is the founder and instructor of the Philly China Breeze Band)

Mr. Yingguo Liu is the founder and instructor of the Philly China Breeze Band. He volunteers his time to organize regular music practice and brings his band to perform for free at many community events. He accumulated 316 volunteer hours in the past 12 months and has won the Silver President’s Volunteer Service Award.

Rena Asuka | (Macy’s 舞蹈姐妹团)

Description: Rena Asuka Macy’s dance team leader volunteers her time to lead her friends in the neighborhood to do dance exercises every morning to keep themselves healthy.
