2/4/2023 NEPCA Community Safety Workshop - Crime Reporting Directory

  NEPCA speaks up for Chinese victims and calls for social attention and seeks support from Government offices and medias to address Asian Hate.  The Chinese crime victims in our community lack crime report knowledge. Many crimes were not reported. Therefore, on 2/4/2023, NEPCA organized a Safety workshop and connected important crime victim services agencies to the Chinese community. They are:  Philadelphia Commission on Human Relations,  South Philly Victim/Witness Services, Central Division Victim Services, and Philadelphia Police Asian American Advisory Committee.  NEPCA created a Crime reporting cheat sheet in Chinese and share it with five thousand members on our WeChat network. We hope to make it easier for Chinese victims to report crimes.

Volunteer service awards went to Mingchu Pearl Huynh (NEPCA’s founder, president and project director), Yuexici Zhang, Rachel Gao, Yuheng Chen, Ashley Yang, Holam Zhang, Jin Yan Chen, Yue Xian Wu and Sharyn Solomon.
